Chamber Director Susan Creed and Chamber President Valerie Goodwin welcomed 20 local business owners, with Edenton Mayor Hackney High offering introductory remarks. Incoming Chamber President Lucas Belton and his wife, Kristie, prepared a dinner featuring grilled chicken, Kristie’s famous macaroni and cheese, other side dishes and dessert.

The evening focused on helping members get to know one another, explore opportunities to work together and build relationships that can lead to business referrals.

Each member had three minutes to introduce their business before the group began mingling. Conversations offered a chance to learn more about local businesses, exchange ideas and meet new owners. Business cards changed hands, and new friendships began.

This was the Chamber’s second Members Mingle of the year and one of the many ways it connects local businesses with one another and the community.

Another highlight on the Chamber’s calendar is the annual Christmas Parade, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. along South Broad Street.
