For more than a century, the Edenton Fire Department has been an important—and lifesaving—part of our community. Originally housed in a building on Broad Street, directly beside the Cupola House, the department has a long tradition of service to Edenton. These early photographs show some of the men who bravely protected our town, its people, and its buildings. Generations have answered the call, and Edenton remains grateful for their courage, dedication, and service. #EdentonNC #EdentonHistory #EdentonFireDepartment #HistoricEdenton #ChowanCounty
