🎃 Halloween Night in Downtown Edenton 🎃 Broad Street will be closed from Water Street to Queen Street from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Halloween night. Merchants and community members will be set up along the street handing out candy and offering fun, interactive activities for families. This creates a safe, walkable area for children to enjoy trick-or-treating downtown. Traditional neighborhood trick-or-treating will also take place throughout town and will conclude at 8:00 p.m. Residents who do not wish to participate can simply leave their porch lights off. To help keep everyone safe, Edenton Police Department officers will be patrolling throughout the evening with their blue lights on. This increased visibility allows officers to stay more vigilant and assist families as needed. Please keep these safety tips in mind: 🎃 Wear bright or reflective clothing so children can be easily seen 🎃 Always look carefully for moving vehicles, especially when crossing streets or walking near parked cars 🎃 Stick to sidewalks and cross at designated crossings whenever possible 🎃Parents and guardians should park and walk with their children. Please do not follow kids slowly in a vehicle — these cars create traffic safety issues, reduce visibility, and can cause dangerous congestion. Walking together keeps everyone safer and creates meaningful family memories. We look forward to a fun, safe Halloween for everyone in Edenton. Thank you to our merchants, residents, and families for helping make this event a success.
